Clouds

16/10/2013 What I love about this place is the landscape. Everyday we have a different one and every hour (sometimes few minutes are enough) is changing. Living in the cloud forest means that clouds are a constant. What change is their shape, their colour, their altitude. Sometimes they bring water, sometimes just shadow. Most of the time they don't cover the whole sky, but only part of it. So it's possible that here it's raining and few meters from us the sun shines. Sometimes we are under a blue sky, but we can hear rain falling down on the mountain in front of us. Sometimes it just rain with the sun and a rainbow appears in the sky. We didn't have a day without rain, but not even a day without the sun. One night we had lightnings, it lasted couple of hours, one lightning every few seconds... I've never seen something like that. In the morning clouds are in general low, lower than the mountains (and we don't overcome 1000 m of altitude!). Sometimes also Huapo is completely immersed into the clouds, but I wasn't lucky enough to see this. The sunset is the best moment of the day. The colour of the sky and the shape of the clouds offer us a new spectacle every day.
