Tulum beach
Tulum: this will be my home for the next days. There is so much to do and to see in the area that I don't even know for how long I will stay in this beautiful city.
As soon as I arrived in town, I found a quiet and nice hostel. I'm in Mexico, so probably since now on I need to forget beautiful cabanas with a spectacular view on the sea: too expensive! Just the time to leave my backpack in the hostel and I'm already on my way to the beach. Most of the beaches are private, owned by luxury hotels, but there are few public beaches where to spend good time. So I wore my flip flops and I walked east. And I walked and walked ... And walked ... After 30 minutes I felt I was near, so I kept walking... After 1 hour I arrived at the end of the road and there I found a sign that indicated public beaches, both on the right and on the left. I choose left, without knowing it was the farest beach (no one to ask) and so I went back walking... I almost renounced, but I walked too far away to come back at that point. Eventually I arrived to the public beach, 2 hours after I left my hostel, under a burning sun. But I was completely reworded: this was the most beautiful beach I've ever been in my whole life. White sand and turquoise waters... Spectacular!
I jumped immediately into the water, to get some refreshment. Then I rested a little bit on the beach, before heading back to my hostel. With all this walking I arrived one hour before sunset, so I couldn't stay longer, considering how long takes to come back.
Once I arrived at the hostel, I looked at the city map and I saw a little note at the end of the page, saying " map not in scale"! Ma vaff....
