Adios Ecuador

16 February 2014
I left Mindo with the first bus in the morning, to get to Quito and from there another bus to Otavalo. This city is very famous for its artisanal market, that on Saturday gathers people from all the country. As soon as I arrived, after 5 hours in bus, I asked to a hostel if I could leave there my backpack, while visiting the market. The receptionist was very nice (like almost everyone here) and allow me to leave there my stuff. I walked for couple of hours in the market, buying some little souvenirs from Ecuador, observing locals with their traditional clothes (in Ecuador it's very unusual to see locals with traditional clothes) that beg you to buy something from them. If my backpack wasn't that heavy, I would have buy lot of stuff...
After the market, I took another bus to the north, till the last Ecuadorian city: Tulcan. We arrived quite late, so I looked for a hostel and went to sleep with the idea to get up early in the morning to cross the border. And here I am, at the border waiting to my exit permission from Ecuador. Because I entered into Ecuador from Balsa (one of the borders between PerĂ¹ and Ecuador)  where they don't have electronic system, now they need 3 copies of my passport with the date of entrance in Ecuador. The immigration office haven't any scanner/printer and there are only 3 shops here where I can make copies. Unfortunately they open only at 9am (someone told me at 10am), considering I'm here since 7am I'm quite tired of wait. I love Ecuador , but right now I just want to leave as soon as possible...
Colombia, I'm coming....

Update:
I'm finally on the bus to Popayan... It's 10 am. It took me 3 hours to cross the border... The copies shops where the immigration office told me to go, at the end didn't open : it's Sunday! So I went to the Colombia side, I made the passport copies, I went back to the Ecuador side and I finally exit the country. I'm exhausted....
